Please remember to select the Gift Aid option if you are a UK tax-payer, for more information go to the Donations page. 1st November 2006 - *NEW* Website launched (again!) The new redesign of www.buildmalawi.org is now online, we hope you like the changes! 21st October 2006 - Synergy Project We will be attending the Synergy Project community gathering in Camberwell on the 21st of October. See the Events page for more info! 12th September 2006 - Trip results As previously mentioned, Tanya and Alice did a rekkie to Malawi to sort out the finer details of the project. This was an absolute success and we aim to reach our target fund of £60,000 by next May/June 2007 so we can start the project. The community we are working with in Chisala are amazingly supportive and understand that we are here to assist them build the school/community centre, not build it for them. It's very exciting stuff! We met many organisations, large and small, who are willing to work with us on many aspects, ranging from mushroom projects to fundraising. Get in touch if you have any ideas regarding sustainability and organic farming techniques… We are hoping to launch a mailing list soon that will keep everyone posted as to the developments of the project and new initiatives. Also anyone who is artistically minded and can contribute to creating artwork for club nights in normal, or particularly UV, paint then please join our forces!! 30th July 2006 - New events We will be organizing some big music and sporting events from October so please check the Events page regularly for details of these. 29th July 2006 - Scouting trip Tanya, Alice and Mike are leaving on the 25th of August to go to Malawi where they intend to identify the precise location for the school and organize local suppliers. It’s all very exciting and hopefully we will have firm plans in place afterwards - keep you posted! 28th July 2006 - *NEW* Website launched!
